Ally Update

I realize it has been a while since I last posted so I thought I would update everyone as to how things are going. Ally has now been in daycare for almost a month and she seems to love it! She loves to see her friends and they have all kinds of toys for her to play in. She has so much during the day that when she gets home at night she crashes! Last night she was playing on the floor one minute and then all of a sudden she was sound asleep. I managed to get a couple good shots of her sleeping. She is becoming very vocal and loves to yell and listen to herself. It's the cutest thing ever! Ally goes to her 4 month appointment on April 27th and then we'll be able to start cereal! I can't wait!!

Ally's First Snow

It's snowing this morning so we decided to bundle Ally up and let her see it. Only in Alabama can you go from being under a tornado warning to snow in 24 hours! Needless to say we only got one picture because she did not enjoy it too much. Maya, on the other hand, loves it and wants us to keep going outside to play with her in it.

There was some snow on our camera so that's why the picture of Ally looks weird.

Jack and Ally

Julie and Jack came to visit us last Tuesday and they left today to go down to Destin. Ally had a great time visiting with her Aunt Julie and her cousin Jack. They loved each other and had a great time together. They went to Walmart together, took a bath together and played on the floor together. Poor Jack got stuck with the pink towel, but he looked sooooo pretty!!! I can't believe how much Jack has grown since I last saw him. He is such a sweet baby boy and i'm going to miss my buddy!! Ally is really going to miss her cousin and can't wait to see him again real soon hopefully!

Ally in Newnan

On Saturday Ally & I drove to Newnan, GA so I could introduce her to some of my best friends from college - - Leslie, Elizabeth, Lindsay and her little girl, Avery. We met at Applebees in Newnan for lunch. Ally did great on the way up there. She started crying when we got close to Auburn so I stopped at McDonalds and did her first public bathroom diaper change. After I got her all changed she seemed much happier and we got back on the road. About 10 minutes after that Ally started crying b/c her pacifer fell out so I pulled over on the interstate and put it back in. Ally fell right to sleep and slept until we were pulling off the exit for Newnan. Once we got to Applebees I fed her and she did great after that. She was wide awake the whole time. She loved seeing everyone! Avery really liked Ally and helped me feed her a bottle too. It was great spending time with everyone and I hope we can do it again soon!

The ride back home wasn't as great as the ride there, but I think Ally was tired of being in her carseat. We made it home though and it was worth the trip. Now Ally is very excited to meet her cousin, Jack, on Tuesday!!

Ally's First Auburn Game

Today Matt, Ally & I watched the Auburn Women's Basketball team play University of Tennessee on TV. We dressed up Ally in her cute Auburn cheerleader outfit and she was not too happy about it. We managed to get some good shots of her, but for the most part she did not like being dressed in it. She is just like her mommy and does not like wearing dresses! She was interested in the game because one of the best players for Auburn is named Alli. In case you didn't know Auburn did win the game but Ally was sleeping at the end of the game. As soon as the game was over I took the outfit off of her and put on something more comfortable for her and she was much happier!

Ally can hear!!

Ally went to the ENT doctor yesterday and she passed her hearing test with a perfect score on both ears! We were pretty confident that she could hear since she jumps when Maya barks or when daddy yells at Auburn when they play basketball, but it was still a weight lifted off of our shoulders. Ally is going to wish she couldn't hear when she hears daddy yelling at Auburn when they play football this year....especially if their season is like last years!!

Ally's 1 Month Doctor Appointment

Ally had her 1 month checkup today and it went very good. She now weighs 8 lbs, 9 oz and is 20 1/2 inches long. She is in the 25th percentile for height and weight but the doctor was happy with that. Ally was not very happy at the doctor today when she had to wait almost 20 minutes for the doctor to come in and see her. To top it off she had to have a TSH Test which is a prick in the heel of her foot. Needless to say, she was not a happy camper!

On Wednesday we go to the ENT doctor to have her hearing test done since she failed both hearing screenings at the hospital. We are pretty confident that her hearing is fine but since she failed them we want to make sure.
